Moz

A scooter boy at heart who still rides a custom Lambretta GP Which is named Key To My Happiness, he also DJs at the National Scooter Rallies for the VFM scooter organisation. Moz has been into Northern Soul since attending Warrington Parr Hall all-nighters in the 80s. His top tunes are by the Charades, Richie Adams and Thelma Lyndsey, Moz is noted for always playing a top stomping set.
Chisser
It all started for him in 1961 having a dance with Denise Anks to Lets Twist Again by Chubby Checker, at Sutton Nash school's Christmas Party. This became his first record, followed by Sam Cooke's Chain Gang and the Drifters' Save the Last Dance For Me - and it's been his vice ever since buying these little Black Gems! His first DJ spot was about 1966 at Derbyhill youth club between the Band sets on Thursday nights. Then he played at the Geraldo club until 1972. Chisser's favourite records at the moment are two ballads My Guardian Angel and Don't Tell Her The Truth, his fav Artiste is Bobby Womack...... although arrive early and you'll hear some modern stuff from him!!
Mike Walker
First got into music via lunchtime discos at Selwyn Jones High School. He's been spinning records at numerous venues in his home-town of Newton Le Willows for a number of years now (undisclosed!!) including backing Jimmy James & the Vagabonds at Wargrave labour Club.
Mike has also DJ'd in Warrington at Co-Op hall, Carlton Club, Red Lion, Tuesday Mood and the Black Shack at Culcheth. Mike was influenced at Blackpool Mecca, The Steam Machine and Wigan Casino. he served an 11 year apprenticeship at the late lamented Viaduct Club (a long lost favourite of North West soul go'ers - ed) and more recently at Newton Cricket Club.
Typical favs include Darrel Banks, Dean Parrish, Artistics and JJ Barnes.
Ste Jones
Groomed into soul music at an early age by older lads (incl. Mike!!) A plethora of local venues in the 60's fuelled interest 'til attending the 'Geraldo' from which lifelong friendships lead to his first visit to the 'Golden Torch' (life never to be the same again!). In his time Ste has visited most of the top venues of their day, but his first love has always been 'Blackpool Mecca' from the early days of Tony Jebb to the halcyon days of Curtis and Levine. Ste's first break DJ'ing came via Al Barnes at the Viaduct. His friendship with Mike Walker has lasted many years and together they have played most local venues. Ste is a compulsive buyer/seller of Northern Soul records and considers himself more of a collector than a DJ. Fav sounds come from Vibrations, Gerri Grainger, Jack Montgomery, Sam Dees and Joanie Summers
